What type of Hair extensions/methods do you do?
We do micro links using I tip hair, fusion using nail tip hair, micro weaves using wefts of hair that are attached using a micro link, and a multitude of different types of Clip-Ins.
How do I know which method is best for my hair?
We offer a free consultation where we can access your hair and show you all the methods and try different types on your hair, and send you away with samples too, all free of charge.
How much are the extensions?
Each customer is unique, and cost depends on what length and how many packets you will need, the desired length and fullness, as an example, some customers will buy one bundle to thicken their existing hair, and others 4 or 5 packs to add a lot of length and volume.
Why should I choose European Hair?
European hair is the highest quality and grade of hair on the market (other than virgin hair). It continuously maintains a silky smooth surface, will never shed, matt or tangle, and had a protein injected into the cortex preventing the hair from drying out. European hair washes and styles beautifully.
What does AAAAA Remy Hair mean?
When the hair is processed and prepared the cuticle of each strand of hair is maintained to prevent tangling and matting. Our AAAAA Remy hair is sourced from the most ethical sources.
I have short hair? Am I able to get extensions installed and still look natural?
Yes, Tracy the technician is very talented at blending, please check out our before and after photos.
How long do they take to install?
As it depends on which method and how many extensions you have installed it’s hard to give an exact hour, but we can say, that if you had one packet installed it would take 20 minutes, and a full head 5/6 packets for length and volume, approximately 2 hours with a cut and style.
How long will the hair last?
Virgin Hair, light colours, will last 8 to 12 months. Dark colours will last 10 to 14 months.
European Hair, light colours, will last 8 to 12 months. Dark colours will last 10 to 14 months.
High Quality AAA Remy Indian Hair, light hair will last 5 to 7 months, and dark hair will last 7 to 10 months.

Is the hair reusable?
Yes the extensions get tightened every 2-3 months and are reusable, (micro link/beads, micro weave, tape ins) other than the fusion, they will last 3-4 months then need replacing.
Can you feel the extensions?
The extensions are very light weight, especially the micro beaded extensions, the bead is less than 1 mm wide and barely visible even when looking close up. No extension should feel uncomfortable if installed correctly. We make sure you feel comfortable and happy with the installation and placement before you leave.
Has the technician been doing extensions a long time?
The technician who Installs the hair extensions at Great Looking Hair has been doing extensions and hair replacement for 11 years and is fully licensed, certified and in fact a licensed trainer in hair replacement and extensions. Tracy is highly qualified and knowledgeable in the field, Tracy has also worn the product for nearly 13 years without any breaks.

I have multiple colours in my hair, can you match this up?
Yes, we have over 42 different colours, and as the packets come in 25 strand packs we are able to mix and match colours to blend perfectly to your own hair, very rarely do we use one colour.
How long are the extensions?
We offer 14″, 18″ and 22″. The most popular length is 18″.
I colour my hair, am I able to still continue to colour it?
Yes, the hair extensions are only installed up to the crown of your own natural hair and 1.5-2″ above your ear, so the hair on top may easily still be hi-lighted/coloured as well as around the hair line and back of the head. Where ever the extensions are placed, you will not see your new regrowth so majority of clients only colour that section once a year if wearing hair extensions, so it in fact saves you time and money on colouring in the long run.
I have a wave in my hair? Can you match this up?
Yes our hair extensions come in a variety of textures and lengths.
Once the Extensions are installed, how often do I have to come in for maintenance to have them adjusted?
Each method varies between 2-3 months, the micro weave 3-4, this all friends on how fast your hair grows.
Can I wash and style my hair as normal?
Yes, all the extensions we use and install are very low maintenance and you treat them as your normal hair, just using sulfate free products. The hair is 100% human hair, so it may be dried, curled, straightened.
My hair is damaged from colouring and using heat products, will hair extensions further damage it?
So many of out clients have come to us with damaged hair from over straightening and colouring and have now managed to regain healthier hair, this is because you tend to colour less if your hair underneath which helps new strong hair grow in, and we can gurantee you’ll do less with your hair and it will need washing less as the extensions soak up our natural oils…. Also after washing and styling it once, it will stay that way for a couple of days, and then you’ll find yourself pulling it up into a pretty full bun or pony tail, giving your hair a break in between washes.
If my hair is very damaged will you still install Extensions?
We pride ourselves on taking our clients best interest to heart and depend on repeat business and referrals, so if your hair is over damaged or not strong enough or even too short, we will advise you in the best possible care routine to get your hair back to a strength and quality behind installing Hair Extensions, most clients appreciate our honesty and concern, and periodically check back with us every so often until we agree we can move forward with the installation.
Do I have to buy my hair products from you?
No you do not, we sell great products in the salon, but you are under no pressure or obligation to purchase these, all we ask is that you use a sulphate free line, (shampoo, conditioner, oil/serum). However if you haven’t decided yet on your hair products, we highly recommend ARGAN SUBLIME which is an all natural, sulphate and paraben free hair products available right here at Great Looking Hair.
Will I see the beads/bonds in my hair and can I wear it up without people knowing I have extensions
Once the extensions are installed, we make sure we can pull your hair back and no bonds are visible, if they are, we simply move them, until you are happy and if after you wash and style your hair for the first time you would like some moved or readjusted in the first week, please come back in and this is corrected for you free if charge.
What about sleeping and exercising?
We just ask you pull your hair back/up to sleep and exercise, or place in a low braid.
Can I swim with the hair extensions?
Chlorine is not ideal for extensions, especially blondes, but not detrimental if they do get wet, and we do sell a leave in conditioner for $20.00 which protects the hair from sun and chlorine, swimming in the sea is acceptable, as long as the hair extensions are damped down with this leave in conditioner or a similar spray.
